Make a nomination for a 2021 Trustees’ Award for “Broadcasting in the Time of Corona”
Nominations are being invited for two new categories for coronavirus-related content as part of the Sandford St Martin 2021 broadcasting awards.
The Content Award is for broadcasting that explored coronavirus, the pandemic or lockdown through a religious lens. This could include news reports, factual programmes, drama or entertainment. Judges will be looking for original storytelling about or in response to COVID-19 that directly engages with faith or belief.
The Community Award is for broadcasting that supported or maintained religious or belief communities during the pandemic. This could include broadcast celebration, worship, outreach or training. Judges will be looking for impactful examples of people’s religious or spiritual needs being addressed or solved despite the implications of COVID-19 in the UK.
Please note: to be eligible, programmes being nominated need to have been available to UK-based audience and first broadcast, screened or published between 1 January and 31 December 2020 .
