2017 Awards Shortlists
The Sandford St Martin Trust is pleased to announce the shortlists for the 2017 Awards.
Yet again this year the Trust received a record-breaking number of entries, many of which packed a real wallop. To quote Roger Bolton, one our trustees who also acted as one of our many dedicated and diligent shortlisters, “I am exhausted, wrung out, ashamed and proud, depressed and elated. A bit of a mess really… There are some brilliant programme-makers in these islands. We need have no fear for the quality of programmes about religion and ethics in the future if the commissioners have the sense and strategy to give those producers their heads.”
Congratulations to everyone who entered but, especially, to the shortlisted programmes below. For more information about the programmes listed, please click on the titles.
Winners will be announced at the 2017 Sandford St Martin Awards ceremony at Lambeth Palace on 7 June.
