The Sandford St Martin 2025 Awards Ceremony

The 2025 Awards ceremony was held on 17 June at Lambeth Palace in London. Our thanks to everyone who entered their content for an award this year as well as our excellent judges, and congratulations to all the shortlisted entries and winners.

You can watch the overture to the ceremony featuring many of the content-makers whose work makes these awards so special below. For 2025, the Sandford St Martin Trustees recognised Horrible Histories with a Special Award honouring its extraordinary impact on how young audiences understand history including what people have believed. The 2025 Trustees’ Award was presented to TV drama writer and director Peter Kosminsky – you can read his acceptance speech here.

A message from our Chair, Dr Tony Stoller CBE

“I’d like to thank all of you content makers who have shared your work with us and which we’ve celebrated this evening. You have inspired us with content that educates, enlightens, informs, inspires, challenges and entertains. These stories and your work matter. They have been used to empower and humanise at a time when the news suggests we need more religious literacy, not less. As tonight has demonstrated, we dare not risk taking what we value for granted.”
